The deadline for changes to the CSCS Industry Accreditation (Grandfather Rights) is fast approaching

On 31st December 2024. If you haven’t yet registered for an NVQ, then all is not lost. By registering with Goldtrowel, you may be eligible to apply for a 1-year or 3-year Temporary CSCS Card whilst you work towards completing your qualification.
 
We offer a range of Level 2 NVQs, for plastering, tiling and bricklaying. Below we have used plastering as an example, but don't forget we also do Bricklaying and tiling.

Your options!

Option 1: If you have been in the trade for 5 years or more you can complete a 1 day competence assessment. For example if you're a plasterer, you will be required to come down to our assessment centre (usually a Saturday so it doesn't interfere with your schedule). The assessment you will need to complete is traditional sand and cement render, float a wall with Thistle Bonding Coat, Plasterboard a small wall with a niche and skim with Thistle MultiFinish. We'll finish off with a professional discussion, this is basically a recorded conversation where we'll just talk about your plastering career, how you run jobs, talk to customers and/or clients etc. 

Option 2: If you've been plastering for less then 5 years or currently work with a plasterer and can't get to us, we can sent you the paperwork via post. You will need to collect evidence of your plastering work. i.e photos/videos of you plastering, rendering, floating and boarding. Ideally have some references to 'back up' your claim. Once your folder/portfolio is complete we will also need to do a professional discussion and mentioned above.

Both options are £850.00 including vat and can be completed at a time that suit you.
