1 Day Bricklaying NVQ Level 2 Assessment

ABOUT THIS COURSE

1 day EWPA Bricklaying Assessment.

The 1-day assessment at Goldtrowel can be scheduled any day of the week, including weekends. Before booking, please call to discuss your experience and skills to ensure you can achieve your NVQ. You’ll need to complete some paperwork, including a reference document.

During the assessment, you will demonstrate your practical skills in laying bricks and blocks and answer written questions on bricklaying and general construction. At the end, you'll have a recorded discussion with your assessor about your work history. You will receive your NVQ certificate by mail within 10 days after completing the assessment.

Before booking this course, you will be asked about your work experience and history. You'll need to share what types of work you have done, whether domestic, site, commercial, or contract. Be honest in your answers. Lack of experience in some areas does not mean you can't be assessed or that you won't pass.

The assessment is based on five contributing items:

QCF 50v2 – Repairing and Maintaining Masonry Structures in the Workplace

Note: the criteria for all EWPA learners includes:

• being site experienced in all the stated skills of the qualification
• have sufficient experience of the skills of the qualification, so that planning their working day, problem solving and decision making and working to deadlines (regarding your plastering) are a usual day to day activity
• an ability to cope with the demands of an intensive practical assessment
• an ability to work safely at all times
• an ability to discuss their work activities with others
• EWPA NVQ can only be attempted once, if unsuccessful you will have to apply via OSAT
